Attach photos of the load and trailer if you have them — it speeds up the quote.

What helps us quote quickly

  • What the load is (make/model or length and weight)
  • Whether it’s on its own roadworthy trailer
  • Collection and delivery postcodes
  • Access notes: marina hoist, slipway, tight drive, steps
  • Your ideal dates and any deadline

What happens next

  1. We check the details

If anything’s unclear — weight, access, tides — we’ll ask before pricing rather than guess.

  2. You get one all-in price

Fuel, tolls, ferries, loading and unloading included. Valid for 14 days.

  3. Book with a date

We confirm the collection window in writing. No deposit for most private jobs; trade accounts invoiced monthly.

  4. Move day

Photos at pick-up, ETA on the road, photos and sign-off at delivery.

How soon will I hear back?

Usually within a couple of hours during the day, and always the same working day. Evening and weekend messages are answered first thing.

Do you need to see the load first?

Almost never. Clear photos and dimensions are enough. For unusual loads or difficult access we may ask for a short video.

How do I pay?

Bank transfer or card on completion for private customers; invoice terms for trade accounts.

Before you book

A few things worth knowing so the day goes smoothly. Boats should have loose gear stowed, the drain bung out and the cover on or off as agreed; if the boat is afloat, let the marina know we’re coming so the hoist slot is confirmed. Hot tubs need to be drained, disconnected by an electrician and dry. Cars should have the keys available and, for non-runners, a note of anything seized or leaking. Plant should have the boom lowered and the battery isolator accessible.

At the delivery end, make sure the route from the road to the final position is clear — gates unlocked, vehicles moved, and someone on hand to sign, or a safe drop location agreed in advance. If anything changes on the day, ring or message and we’ll adapt.

Trade and repeat customers

Marinas, brokers, dealers, hire companies and hot tub retailers with regular work can set up an account with monthly invoicing and a standing rate per mile. Email admin@trailertransportspecialist.co.uk with your company details and typical routes and we’ll come back with terms. See also our homepage, services, trailers and loads and areas we cover.
